The Subaru Love Promise in Action. ???? - Kristie L.

Christmas is about listening and showing up for one another. When we heard about a local mom working hard to provide for her three children, we wanted to lend a hand. Aside from making sure the kids have the warm winter gear they need for the months ahead, we wanted to get something truly special for her 8-year-old daughter. Because she has severe autism and doesn't connect with traditional toys, we leaned into her passion: Pandas! ?? We hope she enjoys her new Kung Fu Panda movie marathon! It's an honor to serve families like this in our community. #SubaruLovePromise #FairwaySubaru #CommunitySupport #MerryChristmas

Three Magical Wishes Come True for Local Kids! - karate Institue O.

Because of Fairway Subaru's commitment to the Make-A-Wish mission, magical wishes are made possible for local children from the Luzerne County area who are living with life threatening medical conditions. More than just a nice experience, wishes help children and their families replace fear with confidence, anxiety with excitement and sadness with hope. For many of our families, a wish-come-true marks a turning point in their child’s battle. Thanks to Fairway Subaru and the Share the Love Promise that turning point is made possible for 3 local children 8-year-old Sadie Nanticoke, PA Wishes to meet the Disney Princesses. Sadie and her family took off for Florida and a week filled with joy and happiness. With all access passes they were off to explore the parks including Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, EPCOT and more. Some of Sadie’s favorite moments were meeting the Princesses, including her favorite, Princess Elsa from Frozen, the endless rides and star-studded parades. Best of all she and her family enjoyed time away from doctor’s appointments and reminders of her illness. 9-year-old Jahzeel West Hazleton, PA Wishes for a online shopping spree For his one-true wish, Jahzeel chose an online shopping spree that would allow him to pick up new technology and gaming equipment for countless hours of fun and entertainment. At the top of Jahzeel’s shopping list was a 54” Roku Smart TV for movie nights with his family, and the always popular, Play Station 5 gaming system. No PS5 is complete without all the very best accessories such as a racing simulator console, gaming headset, gaming chair and video games including Fortnight and Minecraft to name a few. This top-of-the-line gaming system is guaranteed to offer Jahzeel and his friends’ endless hours of fun and enjoyment in the comfort and safety of his own home. 15-year-old-Eddily Hazleton, PA Wishes for a bedroom makeover Upon careful discussion, Eddily and her mom agreed, a bedroom makeover fit for a growing girl was just what the doctor ordered.? When considering her décor options, it was no surprise Eddily lit up at the chance to paint her room in her favorite color, purple. But she didn’t stop there! Eddily purchased new covers in her favorite color to cover her brand-new queen-size bed, a purple lamp for her new nightstand and a purple shag carpet for the floor. Like any good teenager, Eddily also opted for a big screen Roku TV as well as a light up vanity table, ring light and a brand-new iPad. Eddily now has furniture to grow with, a room where she can host sleepovers and a place of comfort for any challenging days ahead. Please know magical wishes like these would not be possible without the continued support of Fairway Subaru. On behalf of Sadie, Jahzeel and Eddily and all our 21,000 wish kids and families, we thank you for Sharing the Love!

Fairway Subaru PA Teams Up to Support Local Community - Karen D.

Imagine going without a coat, shoes, or even socks. For millions of children and adults experiencing homelessness and other urgent need situations across the country, even here in Hazleton, this is a harsh reality. Helping others strengthens communities, which is why Fairway Subaru PA is partnering with Operation Warm®, a national nonprofit focused on connecting children with the resources they need to thrive. Through this partnership and other Subaru Loves to Help® efforts, Subaru and retailers like Fairway Subaru PA have helped nearly 900,000 children and adults in urgent need. On 01/17/2025, Fairway Subaru PA donated 120 coats to St. Joseph's Food Pantry. These essential items not only help keep children protected, warm, and dry, it can have a significant impact on a child's mental and emotional well-being.

A Heartwarming Holiday - Kristie L.

This Holiday season, Fairway Subaru demonstrated the true spirit of of giving by bringing joy and hope to a local family in need. In collaboration with the local food pantry, our dealership identified a family facing some challenging circumstances. The Fairway Subaru team jumped into action to give the four children a wonderful Christmas surprise. Buying gifts from toys and clothing to books and art supplies, the employees made sure each child received thoughtful gifts based on their needs and lists to Santa. Here at Fairways Subaru, its about more than cars-its about community. "We're grateful for the opportunity to give back and make a difference for everyone in the community we live and work in." said the Fairway Team.

Subaru Retailers Team Up to Support Hurricane Relief Efforts - Jess M.

At Fairway Subaru, we’re always ready to step up and support our communities, especially in times of crisis. This commitment is at the heart of the Subaru Love Promise®. When Hurricanes Helene and Milton devastated the Eastern region, Subaru retailers like us immediately sprang into action. Alongside other Subaru retailers, Subaru of America, and local organizations, we assessed the most urgent needs in the affected areas. It quickly became clear that local food banks were struggling to keep up with the surge in demand as they worked to support people hit hardest by the storms. In response, we teamed up with 67 Subaru retailers across the region to launch a $400,000 match campaign to aid the hurricane relief efforts of Feeding America®. Fairway Subaru proudly contributed $5000 to this initiative. While the immediate impact of the storms fades from the headlines, many of our neighbors continue to face long-term challenges like food insecurity, water shortages, power outages, and limited access to essential services. Thanks to the collective generosity of Subaru retailers and the communities we serve, an additional $18,427 was raised. This brings the total impact to $418,427, or over 4,100,000 meals for those in need. "As one of the nation's largest disaster relief organizations, the Feeding America network of food banks and partner agencies is deeply rooted in communities across the country. Together, our partnership with trusted Subaru dealers has helped expedite emergency food assistance and supplies to people who need it most. We are immensely grateful," said Feeding America Chief Development Officer Casey Marsh.

Fairway Subaru Shares the Love with 3 Hometown Wish Kids - Maggie O.

For over 13 years, Fairway Subaru has chosen to partner with it's Hometown Make-A-Wish chapter to grant life affirming wishes for more than 28 local children living with a critical illness. Due to great success of the 2023 Share the Love promotion, Fairway Subaru once again delivers 3 magical wishes for children from Luzerne County. More than just a nice experience, wishes help children and their families replace fear with confidence, anxiety with excitement and sadness with hope. For many of our families, a wish-come-true marks a turning point in their child’s battle. Because of Fairway and its customers, that turning point is made possible for kids like Mykel, Lukas and Isela. Like many teenage boys, 15-year-old Mykel from Nanticoke enjoys spending his time with friends, watching scary movies, listening to music, and snacking on candy. Despite the challenges of his leukemia diagnosis, Mykel has a passion for adventure, travel and thrill rides. When he met with his wish granting team, Mykel considered his wish options carefully. After some thought and discussion, he decided a trip to the Florida theme parks with his family was just what the doctor ordered. Soon after, Mykel and his family were off to warm and sunny Florida and the one-and-only, Give Kids the World Village. At this wish exclusive fairy-tale resort they received everything they needed for a once-in-a-lifetime adventure including VIP passes to all the Disney theme parks, Universal Studios, Sea World and more. Highlights of the trip for Mykel included riding all the roller coasters, visiting Hogwarts School for Wizards and seeing dinosaurs up close in Jurassic Park. Most of all, he and his family enjoyed time away from doctor’s appointments and reminders of his illness. Time to be a family and focus on sharing magical moments and making memories to last a lifetime. Sixteen-year-old Lukas from Mountain Top enjoys hanging out with friends, listening to music, and playing video games. However, Lukas has Hodgkin Lymphoma, a type of cancer that develops in the lymph system and can limit a person’s ability to fight infection. His condition notwithstanding, Lukas also has a growing love for what is commonly referred to these days as “The Salt Life” – the beach, the ocean and fresh salt air. For some time now, he has had an increasing desire to go to the Florida Keys. Lukas has seen television shows and commercials featuring The Keys, particularly Key West, and its majestic clear blue ocean water and magnificent deep-sea fishing. A trip to Key West was his perfect wish. During his wish, Lukas, his parents and younger brother Christian stayed at the beautiful Capitana Key West hotel, with a pool overlooking the Gulf Coast. Lukas spent a lot of time enjoying the warm waters of Key West. He went snorkeling, discovering first-hand the breathtaking aquatic life that can be seen under water. Lukas spent another day fishing and had the thrill of catching fish larger than anything he ever caught before! Lukas felt that “everything was really nice, and the fishing was just awesome! We had some huge fish, and we even caught red snapper.” Mom Kristy added that “Lukas – and all of us – had a wonderful week. He even really enjoyed the one day he didn’t spend in the water…. we walked around, did some shopping on Duval Street. It was great.” Despite living with the challenges of epilepsy, 18-year-old Isela from Hazle Township is a typical teenage girl who enjoys listening to music, dancing and spending time with her friends. When our wish granting volunteers met with this Isela, it was clear her one-true magical wish is to visit the most magical place on earth, Walt Disney World Resorts®. With the wave of our magic wand and sprinkle of pixie dust, Isela and her family soon left for a week of magic, wonder and dreams come true in sunny Florida. With VIP access to all the Florida theme parks there was no waiting in lines for rides. Isela enjoyed front row seats for all the shows and parades, as well as special quality time with all her favorite characters including the one and only, Mickey Mouse. Each day when Isela returned to her personal villa at the amazing Give Kids the World Village, she found unique gifts from all her new friends, one-of-a-kind resort activities, and nightly tuck-ins from GKTW Mayor Clayton and Miss Merry. It was truly a week-long celebration fit for a princess. Please know magical wishes like these would not be possible without the continued support and dedicated teamwork of donors like you. On behalf of all our 21,000 wish kids and families we thank you for believing in the power of a wish!

Subaru Provides Much Needed Coats to Catholic Social Services - Danielle M.

Fairway Subaru provided children coats to the Greater Hazleton Catholic Social Services, which allowed them to gift the coats to those in need. Unfortunately, Catholic Social Services sees many children come through the doors during cold days wearing only T-shirts and or thin little sweaters. This donation has been a huge relief to those families that are unable to provide a warm coat for their children.

Sharing the Love and Power of a Wish! - Maggie O.

Children diagnosed with critical illnesses experience extreme emotional challenges every day. For a young mind to wrap itself around medical terms, harsh treatments and scary surgeries is not only exhausting – it is traumatic. Such mental distress can impair a child’s long-term healing and leave them feeling hopeless. A spark of hope can change everything. Because of Fairway Subaru and its dedicated customers that spark of hope has been found in magical wishes for three local children like four-year-old Malaysia from Nescopeck who lives with the complications of a heart defect. When she and her family met with their wish team to explore her one-true-wish, we learned that most of all, Malaysia wished for an outdoor playset where she and her family could enjoy endless hours of fun and laughter. Soon after, her one-of-a-kind backyard oasis was delivered including an ADA vinyl custom playset with a safety playmat, clubhouse, slides, games, and unique adaptive features for this growing girl. Not only will Malaysia’s playset provide a safe and comfortable place for her to play, but it will provide countless childhood memories their family will cherish for many years to come. Watching football with his friends and going to the movies and dining at Texas Roadhouse with his sisters are some of the ways 18-year-old Jacob from Plymouth enjoys spending his time. Then again, anything is preferable to the treatments and hospital stays required for managing his cancer diagnosis. When Jacob learned he could make a once-in-a-lifetime wish come true, he aimed his sites on the luscious landscape of Hawaii! After some careful planning, Jacob and his family were off to tropical islands where they were greeted with traditional Hawaiian leis and escorted to their luxury accommodations. Some of the trip highlights included snorkeling in a glass bottom boat, learning all about the island history from his personal tour guide, as well as the opportunity to explore pineapple plantations, volcanoes, and majestic waterfalls. He also loved the traditional Hawaiian activities such as attending a luau with fire dancers, sampling new and exotic foods, and watching sea turtles frolic on the beach. Best of all, Jacob and his family made marvelous memories and said aloha to newfound hope. Despite living with a complicated heart condition, four-year-old Alaia from West Hazleton is a sweet and happy little girl who loves the color red and watching Mickey Mouse Club on the Disney channel. When our wish met this brave little princess, she knew her one-true-wish is to board an airplane and fly high in the sky off to the most magical place on earth, Walt Disney World Resorts. Alaia is excited to fly through the sky aboard a giant airplane headed toward magic and sunshine. With their VIP access to all the Florida theme parks there will be no waiting in lines for rides. Alaia is looking forward to having front row seats for all the shows and parades, as well as one-on-one quality time with all her favorite characters Mickey and Minnie Mouse. She can’t wait to snap pictures side by side the beautiful princesses and dine with them in the parks. Upon returning to her personal villa at the amazing, Give Kids the World Village, each day Alaia will find unique gifts from all her new friends. She will enjoy cooling off in a state-of-the-art swimming pool, snacking on all you can eat ice-cream and nightly tuck-ins from GKTW Mayor Clayton and Miss Merry. It will truly be a week-long celebration Princess Alaia and her family will remember for years to come. We cannot thank Fairway and its customers enough for choosing to support our brave kids. On behalf of Malaysia, Jacob, and Alaia, from the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for making wishes come true!

Lost Dog... Owner's Found! - Marc D.

On a chilly morning this December, Fairway employees found a stray dog laying against the building in the morning when they go there. A few of the employees took the time to care for the dog which was injured and exhausted. One of the technicians, Kevin, put the dog in his own Subaru Outback while the employees at Fairway Subaru tried to locate the owner. Andrew, one of the service advisors, took the dog home and even to a veterinarian himself. After many social media posts the owners were found, Friday night of that week they were reunited!

Sasha the senior pug - Shannon C.

Through our partnership with Fairway Subaru, we hosted an adoption event in the month of November. We brought three dogs to the Hazle Township location and by the end of the event, Northeast PA Pet Fund and Rescue and Fairway Subaru helped one pet find their perfect, loving home. Thanks to Brianna Fuller from Fairway Subaru, we were able to showcase the event on Facebook and someone saw Sasha the senior pug. They reached out and soon after she was adopted.

4 Local Wishes Come True! - Maggie O.

Make-A-Wish Greater Pennsylvania and West Virginia, is once again honored to be the Fairway Subaru Share the Love Hometown Charity partner. This year we received a record high donation of $20,812.82 in support of four local wishes! We remain so grateful to our generous donors for supporting our efforts to grant the wishes of children living with critical illnesses. Our amazing wish kids are the reason we do the work that we do. We strive to provide these children with a much-needed respite from their illness and offer them hope and strength along the way. Upon meeting eleven-year-old Fallon from Mountain Top our wish team learned some of her favorite things include camping, listening to Billie Eilish, snacking on potato chips, watching Trail Hunters, and playing Minecraft with her friends. Upon meeting with Fallon and her family, they learned of her one-true-wish to visit the one-and-only Walt Disney World® Resort in Orlando. With the wave of a magic wand and sprinkle of pixie dust, our team went to work to make Fallon’s dream a reality. Recently, Fallon and her family took off for sunny Florida and a week of dreams come true. With VIP access to all the Florida theme parks there was no waiting in lines for rides at Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, EPCOT and more. Fallon had front row seats for all the shows and parades, as well as special quality time with all her favorite characters. Every day when she returned to her personal villa at the amazing wish exclusive resort, Give Kids the World Village, where she would find unique gifts from all her new friends and nightly tuck-ins from GKTW Mayor Clayton and Miss Merry. According to Fallon, “I’ve never been so happy. This trip was truly magical. I will remember it forever!” Five-year-old Malia from Dupont loves the outdoors, family time and camping. Her wish for a pop-up camper was the perfect wish for her. After enduring many hospitals stays, doctor’s appointments and treatments, the thought of having her very own camper bolstered Malia’s resolve to face her illness with bravery well beyond her years. The day Malia received her camper was instrumental in helping her raise her spirits. The camper represents freedom from her illness, time for she and her family to relax and explore together. Malia’s wish team included lots of extras to make her new camper comfortable including new pillows, water bottles, crayons, and sketch pads for quiet time on long drives. Mom tells us Malia enjoys spending time in her camper in the backyard and dreaming of new adventures. Twelve-year-old Riley from Mountain Top is a happy kid with no shortage of interests. Though he deals with the challenges of a complicated kidney disease, Riley maintains a creative imagination. When given the chance to have his wish granted, Riley requested every little boy’s dream come true, a shopping spree for all his favorite toys! Soon after, on a snowy day in December, Santa came knocking on Riley’s door with a special delivery of packages above and beyond the usual Christmas presents. As Santa piled up the many packages Riley could be heard shouting out “awesome!” and “stoked” while hugging and high fiving Santa and his helpers. Riley gleefully opened each wrapped package including a brand new PS4, Apple Air Pods, countless video games, WWE & Marvel collectibles, LEGOS, books and more! When Riley finally finished opening all his gifts, he felt as if he had been transported into a new world, a world where his imagination can run wild and make new memories from the comfort and safety of his home. When seven-year-old Jocelyn from White Haven learned of her chance to experience a magical wish come true she was full of excitement. Some of this sweet little girl’s interests include, listening to Ariana Grande, playing Unicorn Monopoly, playing outside and pizza. Due to the challenges of her illness, Jocelyn’s options for outdoor play are limited. Upon careful consideration she decided on a backyard playset for her one-true-wish. In now time, the day arrived for the delivery of a playset fit for princess. However, this wasn’t your typical playset. This beautiful blue and white cottage themed playset includes an adaptive swing set for Jocelyn’s special needs, as well as a comfortable slide, roomy sandbox, and unique telescope for gazing at the stars. Jocelyn was all smiles and giggles during her special day as she snacked on Pizza Hut and breezed thru the trees in her very own magical backyard oasis. It is a privilege to bring joy and hope to our wish kids and their families as they continue to display such courageous spirit and determination. On behalf of Fallon, Malia, Riley, Jocelyn and our more than 20,000 wish families, we thank Fairway and Subaru for sharing the love and always believing in the power of a wish!

Random Act of Kindness - Stephanie T.

Fairway Subaru loves helping out our community here in the Hazleton area. Today, February 17th is Random Acts of Kindness Day! Over the past few years we have worked closely with Catholic Social Services. We found out through a social worker that a person in our community was in need. She is a hard working single mother that has a disabled child that needs 24 hour nursing care. She holds a full time job despite all that is needed in taking care of her daughter. With the cold winter season utility bills were becoming a problem for her. Fairway Subaru decided to help out with a check for $1,500 to try to help offset her expenses and give her peace of mind. We surprised her today at Catholic Social Services with the contribution, she was surprised and very grateful.
