If you're shopping for a reliable family vehicle in Hazle Township, PA, you should check out Subaru’s strong lineup. Known for standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, award-winning safety technology, and long-lasting build quality, Subaru consistently earns the trust of families across the country. In fact, Consumer Reports named Subaru the 2026 Best Overall Automotive Brand two years in a row. So which models stand out most for family life? Here's a closer look at the top picks. The 2026 Subaru Forester: A Compact Subaru Family SUV Built for Everyday Life When it comes to the best Subaru SUV for families, the 2026 Forester is a good starting point. This compact SUV strikes a balance between size, visibility, and passenger comfort, making it an easy fit for parents managing school runs, weekend errands, and road trips alike. And with up to 74.4 cu ft of cargo space, there’s plenty of room for whatever you need. The Forester is available in both gas (with a gas milage of up to 35 MPG) and hybrid (total range of up to 581 miles) configurations, giving families the flexibility to choose based on their daily driving habits. The Forester Hybrid offers the same capable feel with added efficiency, while the Forester Wilderness trim steps things up for families who love spending time outdoors. Subaru's commitment to safety technology means this model is designed to protect everyone on board, which is exactly what families need. The 2026 Subaru Outback: A Midsize Crossover With Room to Grow The 2026 Outback is one of the most well-rounded options in the Subaru family SUV category. As a midsize crossover, it offers more interior space than the Forester (112.3 cu ft of passenger volume to the Forester’s 110.8 cu ft) while still maintaining the nimble feel drivers appreciate in everyday driving. Standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive makes the Outback a capable companion in all kinds of weather - a real advantage for families in Pennsylvania dealing with snowy winters and unpredictable road conditions. With up to 80.5 cu ft of cargo volume, and a gas milage of 31 MPG highway, the Outback is also one of the best Subaru SUV options for those who regularly haul sports equipment, strollers, or cargo. The 2026 Subaru Ascent: The Best Subaru SUV for Larger Families For families who need a third row, the 2027 Subaru Ascent is the clear answer. This three-row gas-powered SUV is Subaru's largest passenger vehicle and is built to carry up to 8 passengers. It brings the same reliability and safety engineering found across the Subaru lineup, scaled up to meet the demands of a bigger household. The Ascent is a strong choice for families in Hazle Township, PA, who need more passenger capacity without sacrificing the confident, all-weather capability that Subaru drivers have come to depend on. If your family is growing or you frequently travel with extended family, the Ascent is worth a close look. Subaru's Wilderness Lineup: The Best Subaru SUV for Adventure-Loving Families If your family's weekends involve hiking trails, camping trips, or exploring rural Pennsylvania roads, the Subaru Wilderness lineup adds off-road credibility to the Forester and Outback. These models are engineered with enhanced ground clearance, rugged styling, and off-road tuning that standard trims don't offer.
